• Professional & Personable

Margaret has a law degree and spent 13 years practicing law before staying home with her children. The time she spent as an attorney taught her how to gather facts, research laws, and apply the law to the facts on a case by case basis. Margaret is organized, conscientious, reliable, respectful and understands how to handle sensitive issues with due diligence and confidentiality when needed. As a prospective School Board Member, she would seek to make decisions by working well with others and keeping the best interests of students at the forefront of every decision.

  • Wife, Mother & School Volunteer

Margaret and her husband Erik have raised two children in the Plainfield school district. They have experienced the joys and challenges of parenting their children through all the stages from birth through high school graduation, and beyond. Margaret has loved staying home so she could dedicate her time to her family and volunteering in the Plainfield schools at every stage. She loves the connection to the community and getting to know the students, teachers and the other parents. Making a connection with the students and being a part of their world makes all of the time and energy worth it.

  • Substitute Teacher

Most recently, Margaret began subbing and her time in our classrooms has given her even more insight into the needs of students and teachers. She has always respected teachers, but after this experience, she respects and appreciates them even more! Margaret would love to combine her legal and parenting skills with her love of serving the students of Plainfield by becoming a member of the School Board.
